So, its finally here !

A few days after the 30 of us, bunched together as Batch 4, had commenced our life as SW trainees. First week of training was in its full swing and the hearts were overflowing with enthusiasm. Time passed we got to know each other, we were made to train together blah blah ....and to sum it all up things were going good (not from the financial perspective).

I was just out of college. To leave behind the typical college lifestyle was really a challenge but the real pain , in my case, was to part ways with my friends. CS final year, thats what we were called. Maaaan that brings back memories, sigh !

I had stepped on pune platform with a preconceived notion that all carefree life style is now history and all I'm gonna get here are die hard developers (mostly marathi speaking) who will only look up from their TFTs to either attend a meeting, fetch water or go take a leak. I was correct but only to a minimal extent. Before I knew it the batch of 30 had churned out many great people, FRIENDS !!

When I reflect back on time I can vaguely recall that the idea of finding friends in a foreign state had been a far cry, but all turned out to be beyond expectations. I had a bunch of ppl I could call friends, have lunch/tea with . That half an hour of tea time used to be a bliss, a stress reliever like none other.

But whenever I turned to get back at my desk a thought always crossed my mind: " Lets see for how long the good times continue". It has been more than two years now and the time is finally here when the chapter of "My first IT job" finds its place in respective memoirs. Just a handful of us are left here and its just a matter of time before each and every one of us finds himself in another well paying, better organization (with aliens of course!).

Everyone I met here are wonderful people and probably another bunch of gems would be hard to find !

p.s. I am not lucky enough to get to leave my stinkin organisation yet. This post is for ppl who are to/have resigned or are flying onsite.

Going down the memory lane again?

remember the coaching days?

by the way chapter three is out.

You never ever had half an hour tea breaks. Infact you can say you work for half an hour a day. Stop lying about "working". The truth is we never got out of college. Now we might have to. :(

Life is full of adventure, and ya we find adventure, fiends, knowledge, and way to leave here, far away from the home. Top of it is rocking batch 4.... Group never let me remind of old frndz. Gossip at lunch, tea, mail chains become so part of life. The friendship, love, affection is far that can described in the words.
It was never just a training of 2 months, its friendship that is for lifetime, and even thinking of departing from u ppl makes uncomfortable and ya i see the big opportunity near by for u. May all batch 4 ppl shine in Sky.

@ Rex : How can I forget the training days !

@ Lady : Who cares abt how long ta time was, I I know that it was good.

Nice post …!!! (n I am not lying ok…!!!),
I really feel jealous that why I am not the part of “Batch 4”.

GJ just remember those days when layoffs was on top, at those time we were praying to stay here,

Don’t say that “I am not lucky enough to get to leave my stinkin organization yet”.

Infect GJ you are very lucky that daily you spend only half an hour for work n rest of the time for bakarbaaji @ cafeteria.

Gj Don’t push ppl to write for u and then delete the comment forcefully. Office ka bhar bhi life hai yaar :)

Abe oye.....maar khayega tu....

Ahem.. I could..really, post a lot here, esp the stinking organisation part, but some restraint is called for..

PS : I have heard there are no chai-breaks at our client sites abroad... Shitt!!
I take work-breaks in between chai-times man. Tough times ahead.

And Batch 4..... Are there even enough of us left to make up double digits ?

No man...I dont think we exist in double digits now. And I pray that the number is reduced to Zero ASAP.

Amen.
